Field Service Technician

Your tasks

On-site installation and commissioning of new machines.
Provide start up assistance in new machinery installations at customer factory locations including uncrating, alignment, and assembly.
Provide operator and maintenance personnel training at customer locations.
Accurately complete Installation/Service Documentation summarizing work performed.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair existing machinery at customer locations.
Provide direction for spare parts recommendations with customers.
Make recommendations for continuous improvement within Stürtz organization.
Provide customer support via PC remote diagnostics and phone.

Your profile

2-5 years’ experience building, installing and repairing industrial machinery.
Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Knowledge of PLC’s, electronics and wiring schematics, basic computer skills.
Positive attitude. Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Detail oriented driven to succeed. Dependable and reliable.
Ability to travel to customer sites within North America, occasionally internationally.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Valid Driver’s License and Passport
2-year technical degree or technical/skill trades training desired.
