A Snapshot of Your Day
Start your day by solving complex engineering challenges that safeguard the structural integrity of wind turbine blades key components driving the global energy transition. You’ll work closely with experts across design, service and operations to assess blade conditions, troubleshoot issues, and create innovative repair and retrofit solutions.
Your role also involves leveraging advanced analytical tools and programming (MATLAB/Python) alongside cutting-edge Finite Element software such as Ansys APDL, Abaqus, and Hypermesh to develop robust methods that ensure long-term blade performance and reliability.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead engineering support for the global blade fleet, including OEM designs, ensuring structural integrity and reliability
Perform detailed evaluations of blade damage and risk, delivering clear engineering statements and actionable recommendations
Investigate incidents and failures through root cause analysis, collaborating across teams to implement effective solutions
Design and develop retrofit concepts and repair instructions that extend blade life and optimize performance
Drive technical assessments for warranty cases and complex structural challenges, applying advanced analytical methods
What You Bring
Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Mechanical, Composite, or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
Proven track record with 5+ years in wind blade engineering, including structural integrity and composite technologies
Deep knowledge of lightweight structures, bonded joints, and composite material behavior under operational loads
Strong analytical skills for assessing blade conditions and failure modes, supported by practical problem-solving ability
Exceptional communication skills to present complex findings clearly to diverse stakeholders
A structured, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently while driving results
