Field Service Technician (m/f/d)
Fischer Tiretech USA is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill a field service technician position.
A qualified candidate will have an industrial background in maintenance, manufacturing, and/or construction. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a company that is at the forefront of providing innovative technological equipment and services to its customers. This is a position that requires travel up to 70% of the time with some international travel being necessary. The duration of the travel assignments typically ranges from 1-8 continuous weeks. Training will be provided. An excellent benefits package is offered. Pay is commensurate with experience/education.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation, including blueprints and layout plans
Demonstrate the ability to work cohesively with others and in a safe manner
Ability to work independently and unsupervised at remote client jobsites
Ability to stay self-motivated while working independently on remote client jobsites
Good written and oral communication skills are required
Must be willing to work in/learn metric units of measurement
Ability to utilize basic computer skills to keep accurate records and reports for submitting to the office and customers working with Microsoft Office Suite
Troubleshooting skills are a must to assist customers both offsite and onsite to help minimize unplanned machine downtime
Have experience in machinery alignment and installation from the ground up
Previous experience in surveying machinery installation sites and laying out center lines for equipment installation
Demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanical skills including working with conveyor systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, machine alignment and leveling
5+ years working in industrial maintenance or equivalent background/environment
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications:
Working knowledge of PLC systems, motion control systems, and motor controllers
Highly skilled in mechanical knowledge and have the ability to make precise measurements and adjustments
Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues in a fast paced and stressful manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation
