Step by step through the training program

1st year of training

You’ll start with the fundamentals of production technology – from classic manual machining to CNC work – and you’ll learn the basics of technical drawing. You’ll also gain insight into welding, assembly methods, and digital production processes. Best of all: you’ll put everything into practice right away through hands-on projects.

2nd year of training

In the second year, you’ll dive deeper into the world of manufacturing. You’ll learn how processes are planned, how costs are calculated, and how quality is assured. You’ll work with modern measurement technologies and learn how production steps are prepared. You’ll apply your growing knowledge through an independent project where you take on real responsibility.

3rd year of training

By year three, you’re working more like a real engineer. You’ll complete the program with your bachelor’s thesis—proof that you can tackle a real business challenge independently from start to finish. When can I apply for a dual study program?

The application period for our dual study programs usually starts one year before the program begins So if you want to start in summer 2026, you can already apply now. It’s best to apply early — these programs are popular and places fill up quickly.

What does the selection procedure look like?

Once we receive your application, we review your documents and check whether everything has been submitted correctly. If everything fits, you’ll receive an invitation to a digital online test, which you can complete from home within a two-week period.

If you impress us with your profile, the next step is an in-person interview — and if it’s a good match on both sides, you’ll receive your offer for a dual study place at BENTELER!
