To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Europe to work in a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
Design and development of machines and systems for metal scrap recycling applications
Mechanical design of heavy-duty machinery such as shredders, presses, shears, and auxiliary equipment
Solving complex machine design and engineering problems throughout the project lifecycle
Preparation of manufacturing and assembly documentation (2D drawings, BOMs, technical files)
Design and optimization of mechanical components and welded structures
Technical coordination with production, purchasing, and assembly teams
Collaboration with suppliers and subcontractors for manufacturability and technical clarifications
Supporting prototype manufacturing, testing, and design improvements
Applying engineering standards, safety regulations, and best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Proven experience in the metal scrap recycling machinery sector
Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Experience in preparing manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking)
Solid understanding of hydraulic systems used in industrial machinery
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Ability to work independently with a high level of responsibility and ownership
Strong problem-solving skills in mechanical design
Flexible working mindset and ability to adapt to project-based workloads
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience with heavy steel structures and welded machine design
Familiarity with international design standards (ISO, DIN, EN)
Previous involvement in export-oriented machine design projects
